Please join the National Wildlife Federation, Environment Oregon, Physicians for Social Responsibility, Greenpeace, Pew Environment Group, and local community leaders for a roundtable discussion on the science of global warming and how you can work for SOLUTIONS!

Please join our listed speakers and members of Oregon's Congressional Delegation for short presentations followed by an open mic question and answer roundtable discussion.

Congressman Earl Blumenauer, (D, Oregon's 3rd District)

Congressman David Wu, (D, Oregon's 1st District)

James A. Coakley, Jr. is a professor at Oregon State University's College of Oceanic and Atmospheric Sciences. His research concentrates on the Earth's energy budget and climate change. He is a member of NASA's CALIPSO, CERES, and MODIS Science Teams. He has served as an Editor for the Journal of Climate, and on the editorial boards of Tellus and the Journal of Geophysical Research.

Roger Hamilton is the Local Government Program manager for the Climate Leadership Initiative. Roger is a renewable energy consultant and project director for West Wind Wires, assisting wind developers on electric transmission in the western U.S. He is a Klamath County Oregon rancher and former county commissioner. He has served on the Oregon Public Utility Commission, the Oregon State Parks Commission, and as former Governor Kitzhaber's energy and watershed adviser.

Kristin Sheeran is the Executive Director of the E3 network. E3 is a network of economists whose work supports an active agenda of climate change mitigation and environmental protection. The newly formed Climate Economics Taskforce joins together professional economists from academia, think tanks, and NGOs for the purpose of establishing an integrated response to climate change that is firmly rooted in science and in our commitment to social justice.

Lisa Adatto is the Oregon Director for Climate Solutions. Lisa works to promote realistic and sensible climate policy in Oregon. Lisa is a business professional with over 20 years experience in marketing and public policy. She also worked to inform the business community about climate issues through conferences and an economic study that looked at the policy implications of various climate policies. Lisa has first hand experience at how Repowering, Refueling, and Rebuilding America is our pathway to solving global warming.

Catherine Thomasson is president elect for national Physicians for Social Responsibility and past president of Oregon PSR. She has worked within the city and county on advisory panels ranging from West Nile Prevention Task Force to Water Treatment Policy decisions. Recently Catherine had been one of the leading voices in Oregon fighting for laws and regulations that protect human health from the dangers of global warming by reversing the current trends of increasing emissions and rising temperatures.
