Description

These classes offer the chance for women to see what inspires us and practice how our reality connects to the whole earth and its many relations.

April 9th: Indian Arts and Healing

Yoga instructor and professional henna artist, Melanie Ooi-Schwartz, will provide guidance through restorative yoga poses for menstruation and menopause (includes a take home sheet of the poses to incorporate into your own practice). Then in the second part of the workshop, we'll take a look at the ancient art of mehndi (henna). Participants will have the opportunity to play with henna on paper and receive a beautiful henna tattoo.

April 16: Celebrating Women's Mysteries

A beautiful and engaging workshop that explores the role of ceremony in the lives of women, past, present and future. Topics will include : cause for celebration: natural cycles & personal rites of passage anatomy of a meaningful ceremony * creating sacred space **All participants are asked to bring a special object that they feel symbolizes feminine power. April 30: Sacred Herbs and Medicine

Take your health into your own hands! Herbalist Emily Porter will be teaching about women specific herbs including pregnancy tonics, PMS formulas, blood builders, hormonal balancers, skin, nail, and hair beautifiers, bone strengtheners and more. The class will include a variety of herbal tea samples, and hands-on instruction in tincture making, and salves. Each student will go home with a sample of their own handcrafted medicine.
