What Really Matters to Oregonians

Three years ago, pollster Adam Davis described public opinion in Oregon as a “perfect storm,” in which an uninformed and disconnected public was unable to hold politicians accountable in any meaningful way for campaign promises. Today, with a weakened economy and government budget problems, has anything changed?

On December 11, City Club welcomes Adam Davis back to the podium to discuss trends in public opinion in Oregon. He will revisit key issues, such as public cynicism and limited knowledge, that impede civic progress and will share what Oregonians are saying about issues ranging from the economy to community planning. He will also address the areas where Oregonians remain connected to the long-time values that make our region unique.

Portland Prodigy Returns for Benefit Concert

At just 23 years old, Portland born pianist Johnandrew Slominski has already amassed a staggering collection of degrees, honors and accolades. With a Master of Music degree in Performance, a Master of Arts in Music Theory, and a Bachelor of Music degree in Performance, all from the prestigious Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York, Slominski is now a Doctor of Musical Arts there, and serves as the youngest faculty member in that institution's history, teaching Music Theory and Piano. While for most of us, that’s already a life’s worth of achievement, Slominski is also a gifted solo performer, and traveling lecturer. Hailed by the press as “a brilliant pianist”, Slominski performs throughout the United States.

Hello Everyone,

I have detailed draft of some Articles of Incorporation & Bi-Laws for a NPO called the International Leadership Investment Fund whose mission is to combines capital contributions with strategic mentoring and advisory services to help nonprofit leaders build global organizations that inspire and accelerate social change. This .organization is going to be very small with three directors and no members, so preference for documents from a similar organization

However, I have only done this basic start-up for NPOs in California. I am unfamiliar with any specifics regarding NPO laws in Oregon.
