The Community Housing Resource Center will be holding a free homebuyer orientation on Wednesday, November 17th, from 6-7:30PM at the Center. This workshop outlines the steps to homeownership and the services provided by the Center. No reservations are required.

Portland Peace Choir Concert Nov. 21 4pm

The Portland Peace Choir presents songs of Freedom and Peace Sunday, November 21, 2010 at 4pm at St David of Wales Episcopal Church 2800 SE Harrion Street Portland,OR 97214 (between Division and Hawthorne).

 

All of our concerts are free and family friendly. The concert will be followed by our traditional bake sale as well as an "Art of Redemption" art show.

Time: 6-8pm

 

Date: Tuesday, November 30th

 

What: A evening to get a bite to eat, have some drinks, mingle, converse and really get to know your peers. A real chance to talk one on one about volunteer coordination, trouble shoot, etc.

The Skidmore Prizes: Recognizing a Younger Generation of Nonprofit Leaders

Since 2004, the Skidmore Prizes have honored exceptional leaders under 35 who work in nonprofits and make under $35,000 a year. On November 19, City Club will host the 2009 Skidmore Prizes, which will be presented by Multnomah County Chairman Jeff Cogen.

The West Linn Wilsonville School District is seeking an experienced farmer to work with the district on the development of a 10 acre farm-to-school site. For the first time, the district is looking for an intern farm manger to help farm district owned land in order to produce vegetables to be incorporated in the district’s lunch program. The West Linn Wilsonville School district is located 20 miles south of Portland in Clackamas County Oregon and serves approximately 8,400 students each year.

Buckman Elementary SUN is looking for an enthusiastic basketball coach!

Buckman Elementary’s 4th grade girl’s basketball team needs a volunteer coach for their winter basketball season! Play an important and supportive role for up to a dozen team members by donating a few hours a week. As a coach, you will help develop the team’s basketball and sportsmanship skills. The season runs from January to March, with eight Saturday games. Practices are held evenings, once a week for one hour (coach’s choice!) at Buckman Elementary. Experience coaching is not necessary, however a love of basketball and enthusiasm for working with children is.
