Come explore the wonders of the plants through our Arctos School workshops! Our classes are on an inexpensive sliding scale, because we believe in spreading the love and knowledge of herbal healing far and wide. Inquire about specialized classes for your nonprofit!

Wild Foods of Spring with Gradey Proctor This Saturday, April 12 9am-1pm Visit a hidden forest gem right in the city, with many great edible plants to meet. This class will be an exploration in plant identification and how to prepare and eat nutritious wild foods, amidst the trilliums and bright pink salmonberry flowers. Dress for the weather; trails may be muddy. All walking speeds welcome! Location: Tryon park area. Meet at 9:00 at People’s Co-op (3029 SE 21st, north of Powell) to carpool. How to Make Tinctures with Missy Rohs Sunday, April 27 2pm-4:30pm Learn how to make alcohol-based extracts out of fresh plants that are easily found in your garden or at a farmers’ market. We’ll talk about five medicinal plants in-depth, discuss their medicinal uses, and use one to make a tincture for each participant to take home. Be prepared to spend time in the herb garden as well as indoors. Early registration for this popular workshop is encouraged. Location: Southeast Portland. Registration required by April 24.
