River Network, the only national conservation organization headquartered in Portland, Oregon, is hiring for the position of Executive Assistant to help our CEO & President manage a 20-member staff and advance work with over 700 affiliated river and watershed protection groups in all 50 states. This executive support position will contribute to River Network’s new strategic plan to solve the biggest environmental problems of our time: decline of water quality and quantity, public health deterioration, climate change, and people’s disconnection from nature. The Executive Assistant works a total of 24 hours per week, or 0.6-time, organizing information, people and events as needed. The position is based in Portland, OR.

Reports to: President/CEO

Status: .6 FTE

Responsibilities: Open & distribute incoming CEO’s mail, Maintain the voicemail greeting current & refer messages from the general mailbox, Order office supplies, papers and miscellaneous materials for CEO, Ensure CEO’s calendar is up to date and organizational calendar has necessary appointments and information, Format/edit letters and other materials for CEO, Make phone calls and follow up for CEO, Plan travel and meetings for CEO, Prepare CEO expense summaries, Assist with aspects of Board meeting planning & logistics, Assist with strategic planning support,and Research issues and provide other support as needed.

Salary / Pay Rate:Competitive salary of $13-15 per hour DOE and benefits provided
Qualifications:Self-starter with strong organizational abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills Knowledge of major MS Office software Keen interpersonal skills Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Education Required:High School or equiv.
