Dine for the Maasai - Saturday April 4
Join Engineers Without Borders for an evening of gourmet Mexican food, margaritas, and music to benefit the Orkeeswa Secondary School in Lashaine Village, Tanzania. Enjoy delicious food and drinks, while learning about Orkeeswa students and EWB's work in Tanzania.
Guest Speakers:
Ashley Holmer - Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Indigenous Education Foundation of Tanzania - IEFT (www.ieftz.org), will talk about Orkeeswa Secondary School, the students and life in rural Tanzania.
Aaron Poresky - President of the Portland Professionals chapter of Engineers Without Borders - USA (www.ewb-usa.org) will talk about EWB's work in Tanzania and the developing world.
The authentic Mexican menu includes: • Birria Stew with Grass-fed, Oregon Beef • Vegetarian Charro Beans • Homemade Fresh Corn Tortillas • Nopales Salad with Cactus Leaves • Homemade Salsas and Guacamole • Flan • Tres Leches Cake • Sangria • Margaritas and more!
Suggested donation of $50 at the door. All donations are tax deductible and will fund infrastructure improvements at Orkeeswa Secondary School in Tanzania. An EWB team will head to Tanzania in late April to begin the design of a drinking water supply and treatment system at Orkeeswa Secondary School. WE HOPE YOU WILL SUPPORT OUR EFFORTS!!!
