| position summary: | The position of Fund Raiser/Grant Writer for The Great Green March is available. This position will be an integral part of the core planning and development team for the new non-profit event. The mission of the Great Green March is to have five hundred citizen-marchers walk, cycle, blog, and drive alternative-fuel vehicles across the USA. We will hold a nation-wide conversation on sustainability along the way, and create measurable change through action, interaction, education and entertainment, affecting individuals, organizations, corporations, local and world governments. The planned launch date for the march is April 2010. The Great Green March is in the process of building a team of highly competent and efficient people. We are looking for a few core members that are excited to be involved in this event on the ground floor who are dedicated to the green/sustainability movement on a national and global level. | Salary / Pay Rate: | Volunteer until funds are raised//will pay retroactively |
| Qualifications: | Grant Writers should be experienced in researching and soliciting funds in the non-profit industries. Experience with issues of venture capital, non-profit status and fiscal sponsorships would be ideal. This position could possibly expand to include Sponsorships, Marketing, or Public Relations, depending on the interests of the candidates. |
