CIRQUE DU CYCLING BIKE PARADE - JUNE 13th - MISSISSIPPI AVE.

Portland has a wealth of amazing non-profit organizations working hard on important issues, and we want you to come join us for a parade along Mississippi in front of 10,000+ spectators.

Cirque du Cycling, a Mississippi bike fair in support of the non-profit Self Enhancement Inc., is calling all non-profit organizations and bike clubs to come and represent by marching and pedaling in the nation's largest bike pride parade on June 13th. It's totally free and a great way to promote your cause.

If you can assembled a unified group of four people, you can be in the parade! Your group will need to be (mostly) on bikes of any kind, they do not need to be the sort of special contraptions we just mentioned.

Field Coordinator Opening (Staff Position) with Oregon State Service Corps

The American Red Cross Oregon Trail Chapter is hiring a Field Coordinator to support the Oregon State Service Corps (OSSC), a statewide individual placement AmeriCorps program. This position is based out of Portland and will act as a lead in the area of AmeriCorps member development and support for OSSC.  Some of the responsibilities include:

• Develop and implement member development plan for the program’s fifty-one members.

• Coordinate, prepare and facilitate member orientation and quarterly member regional trainings.

• Ensure that OSSC members receive required program trainings, including disaster response training.

Volunteers of America Home Free is an innovative, outreach-based domestic violence intervention program seeking an AmeriCorps Youth Advocate to serve teens exposed to batterers. Your varied and challenging role will include developing a teen led mentoring program; presenting healthy relationship information to middle and high school students; working with teens individually; facilitating girls’ empowerment groups; and assisting in Home Free’s recruitment, training, and recognition of volunteers.

Young actors, creative souls and budding artists are invited to spend your summer days at IFCC, the historic firehouse turned vibrant cultural center conveniently located just off I5 near the heart of Portland. Portland Theatre Brigade and IFCC are once again partnering to bring you a selection of inspiring games-based theatre workshops for ages 4 to 14.

Are you a people-person? Then there is no greater place for you than OMSI’s lobby! You’ll get the chance to greet and provide friendly and helpful service to OMSI visitors as they enter the museum’s exhibit halls. You’ll feel the excitement of countless excited families who are ready to explore and learn!

OMSI’s Visitor Services opportunities include greeting visitors in the lobby, monitoring the entrance and exit of Featured exhibits, and assisting visitors as they queue-up for Submarine tours.
