12/7 Mercy Corps NW Seminar - Green Marketing

Monday, December 7th, 6:00-7:30pm.

Your product is green. Your operations are green. Is your marketing green, too? Though marketing gets overlooked in discussions about business sustainability, it can and should be a sustainable practice in itself. In this presentation with Peter Korchnak, we'll explore a five-step approach to greening your marketing and look into ways to make any small business marketing program more environmentally sustainable.

$5 for MCNW clients and $10 for community members (check or cash please). At the Mercy Corps NW office at 43 SW Naito Pkwy downtown by the Burnside Bridge.

Human Services Training at PSU: Compassion: Maximizing Its Rewards, Minimizing Its Perils in Helping Professions

Fri 8:30am-4 pm Dec 11 2009 with Don Manghelli, MA Compassion towards others is what makes helping professions so rewarding. This same compassion exposes us to the grief and trauma of those we serve. Psychology, traumatology, quantum physics, and brain research will provide insights as we explore boundaries, burnout, compassion's rewards and its continuum of possible distress, and trauma as a catalyst for positive transformation. End by identifying key elements for a personal plan to maximize professional effectiveness and compassion rewards.
