Help keep anti-choicers out of office! Protect reproductive choice in Oregon!

The campaign intern would ideally be available for 5-10 hours a week. Start date is flexible--mid-August would be great. The internship could shift directions after the election (November 2) if the intern would like to stay with NPCO or would need to be an intern for an entire school term.

This position will involve recruiting volunteers, organizing phone banks, making calls, and helping implement other parts of our field plan to get pro-choice politicians elected. It will be great hands on experience for anyone interested in politics, women's health or reproductive rights. We can help you secure school credit if possible.

RACC awards record sum — $1.6 million — in General Support grants to 44 local arts organizations

 

The Regional Arts & Culture Council (RACC) has awarded a total of $1,628,793 to 44 arts organizations in Clackamas, Multnomah, and Washington Counties. These General Support grants provide critical unrestricted operating revenue to arts organizations in the tri-county region. Each organization receiving general support has demonstrated artistic excellence, fiscal responsibility and community service through a competitive grant application process. This General Support grant allocation surpasses last year’s distribution by more than $39,000.

The Regional Arts & Culture Council (RACC) is pleased to announce the winner of this year’s Individual Artist Fellowship in Performing Arts: Robin Lane. This fellowship carries a cash award of $20,000.

“Robin Lane is a legend in Portland,” said Eloise Damrosch, Executive Director of RACC. “It is our honor to recognize the contributions of this extraordinary artist, and to support her in the year ahead.”

Volunteers needed for the Great Slough Clean Up - July 10th!

Join the Columbia Slough Watershed Council and their trash haulers for the 4th Annual Great Slough Clean Up. Bring a boat or borrow one of the council's and scour the banks of the slough for garbage large and small. Remove car batteries, shopping carts, TVs, chairs, tires and more from this beautiful waterway in your backyard. The herons, otters and turtles will thank you. Prizes will be given for the most unique items of trash. Advance registration required.Please RSVP to Dana Kleinhesselink @ [email protected], and state whether or not you will be needing to borrow a boat from our fleet - We will have kayaks, single canoes and bimaran canoes for reservation.
