Primary Purpose of the Job: We're currently looking for an intern to help us with planning for the 2012 Portland World Cup, an event sponsored by Voz which will take place during Labor Day weekend. The World Cup encourages community building between Voz and other local organizations, and helps to raise awareness about Voz and our allies. Last year thirteen teams competed over three days. The Portland World Cup Intern will assist the Steering Committee with all aspects of planning this event.

Responsibilities:
- Attend Steering Committee meetings
- Recruit teams to compete – Research event space
- Make follow-up/thank-you phone calls to attendees

Summary: Provides accounting, budgeting and administrative coordination efforts of the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Accounting and financial controls
Provide accounting services using proper accounting practices.
Maintain full cycle accounting (preparing checks, coding and posting invoices, preparing deposits, journal entries, reconciliations, petty cash)
Complete payroll ensuring efficient systems, process and controls.
Assist Executive Director with developing annual organizational budget; manages budgeting details, adjustments, and budget to actual reporting.
Track grant / program funding expenditures and prepare financial reports for funders and/or sub-grantees.

The Lunatic Fringe is looking for people who are interested in gaining experience working as volunteers for a nonprofit theatre company. We are an offshoot of Lunacy Stageworks www.lunacystageworks.org and we are expanding our education department to include workshops for at- risk teens called The Lunatic Fringe. We are specifically looking for:
grant writers,
marketing/advertising people,
fundraisers,
bookkeepers,
personnel and
volunteer coordinators.

Primary Purpose of the Job: Voz seeks two event-planning interns to help prepare for our Annual Dinner this June. The annual event is an important fundraiser for Voz; this year we hope to raise more than $10,000. Voz will sell tickets in advance, both to individuals and groups, and there will be live music and a silent auction in addition to the dinner. The Event Planning interns will assist our Fundraising Coordinator in all aspects of planning for the event.

Responsibilities:
- Help obtain donations for the silent auction
- Sell tickets to the event
- Send invitation letters to organizations
- Make follow-up/thank-you phone calls to attendees

The Hosting Marketing Assistant will assist the Hosting Team in the implementation of host family recruitment strategies in order to reach commitment goals within geographically defined areas.

The Oregon Center for Public Policy (OCPP) is now accepting applications for an internship position for spring 2012. This position is open to both undergraduate and graduate students. OCPP accepts applications from any academic discipline; however, the policy analysis internship requires some quantitative skill.
OCPP is a Silverton, Oregon-based non-profit that does in-depth research and analysis to advance policies and practices that improve the economic and social opportunities of all Oregonians.
The policy analysis internship is based in Silverton. The work schedule is flexible according to the intern’s needs; however, we do ask the intern to establish a regular schedule and commit to at least 8 hours per week for 8 – 12 weeks.
