The Education Specialist is responsible for leading all aspects of the Black United Fund’s programs, focusing on our, ACCESS (Achieving College Competency and Educational Success for Students) Program. The Education Specialist will also act as an active member of BUF’s team, participating in planning, program development, fundraising, and administration.

-Build relationships with local teachers and administrations, you will bring five new local schools into Democracy Cup

The mission of Wild Salmon Center (WSC) is to identify, understand and protect the best wild salmon ecosystems of the Pacific Rim. We devise and implement practical strategies, based on the best science, to protect forever these extraordinary places and their biodiversity.

WSC is an international organization with programs in the Russian Far East, Kamchatka, Japan, the Olympic Peninsula, and on the Oregon North Coast. The home office is located in Portland, Oregon in the Jean Vollum Natural Capital Center.

Provide a variety of services to clients in residential A&D and treatment program.

De Paul serves the greater Portland community by providing drug and alcohol addiction treatment services.

We are currently seeking Milieu Counselors to work at our Youth Alcohol and Drug treatment facility who are available to work various shifts, primarily evenings and weekends. Responsibilities include monitoring the behavior of our clients and intervening as appropriate, and assisting with day-to-day activities, including group facilitation. Duties also include transporting clients, so applicants must possess an unrestricted driver’s license and are willing to drive a 15 passenger van. Knowledge of A&D, psychology or recovery preferred.

Position requires 2+ years’ continuous sobriety, if recovering.

The Program Director is a full time position responsible for leading and implementing important elements of SNW’s portfolio related to the Klamath Basin, ranching/rangeland stewardship, water issues, and private “working lands” issues generally. The Program Director oversees staff at Sustainable Northwest, manages teams of contractors, coordinates extensively with SNW’s partner organizations in priority landscapes, and collaborates with other SNW staff in programs and projects related to: Klamath Basin restoration, development of Payment for Ecosystem services schemes, community-scaled renewable energy development, policy, and fundraising, among others.

Lunacy Stagework’s theatre arts program the Lunatic Fringe, is a way to keep teens from socioeconomically diverse backgrounds engaged and motivated to stay in school and continue on to higher education. At Lunacy we believe that stories are a universal heritage. We aim to put storytelling in the hands of those with a desire to tell their stories through plays. During after- school and summer workshops for teens of all backgrounds and income levels we mentor kids in every aspect of the theatrical process. Lunacy offers young people an open forum where their stories can be heard and where they can take ownership for the creation and outcome of their unique experiences.
