The Bus Project’s Trick or Vote team is seeking an Outreach Coordinator to manage recruitment of 1000 volunteers to the spookiest canvass this election. Trick or Vote is happening in cities around the country, and our Portland event -- the flagship Trick or Vote -- is the biggest and the best.

The Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for meeting programmatic metrics, overseeing and executing street teaming recruitment and phone outreach, managing volunteers. The Coordinator will work closely with the Trick or Vote Event Director in engaging an enthusiastic base of volunteers to get out the vote on Halloween.

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Coordinate outreach staff and volunteer phonebanks • Maintain and develop existing volunteer networks

OMSI Development Website Intern

The Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) is seeking a Development Website Intern. This is an unpaid position which offers the successful candidate the opportunity to learn more about fundraising through corporate and individual giving programs at a major non-profit organization. This position is available immediately, and will remain open until filled.

 

Position Summary: The Development Website Intern will be involved primarily with enhancing the Development Departments presence on the OMSI website (www.omsi.edu), thereby helping the development staff create more opportunities for patrons and friends of OMSI to support our work financially. In addition, the intern will provide basic administrative and/or event planning support to the department.

Motivational Interviewing---Rolling With Resistance, Inspiring Change Friday, September 24th, 2010 8:30-1:00

Purpose: This workshop will provide a brief overview of Motivational Interviewing with specific attention to practice skills associated with rolling with resistance. Workshop participants will have the opportunity to both learn about and practice various techniques and skills to work with clients who are not yet motivated, ready, or confident to engage in behavior change.

Front desk help at Ecotrust

Ecotrust is a local organization that innovates, invests, and inspires in ideas that create reliable prosperity for the people, environment, and economy of the Pacific Northwest. It is a think tank-do tank for ideas the will strengthen the triple bottom line economy. Check out more at ecotrust.org.

 

We are looking for someone that can help out at the front desk for a few hours one or two days a week. This would include communicating the Ecotrust mission to people that come to the building and have phone inquiries. If you are interested in learning more about Ecotrust, this is a great way familiarize yourself with the staff and programs.

Volunteer with the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) this summer for the Reptile and Amphibian Show!

 

This Labor Day Weekend crawl, creep, and slither your way to one of the largest gatherings of reptiles and amphibians in the Pacific Northwest, when OMSI presents its annual Reptile and Amphibian Show! Over 100 exotic animals will be on display at this popular event, including a large variety of captive-bred snakes, lizards, turtles, alligators, and more.
