Make Facial, Bath, and Home Cleaning Kits with Create Plenty

With its Yellow Shelf Project, Create Plenty is organizing local producers of alternative body care and household products and marketing and distributing them locally in returnable, reusable or reused containers.

We are also making products, open source style, in our Production Days where you can help to make the products we sell. Maybe it will inspire you to develop your own recipes and become a producer yourself. For a suggested $10 donation, come and make some products, both to take home and to supply the Yellow Shelf Project around town. We share recipes with our participants! Please RSVP to [email protected] and remember to bring your containers to fill.

Free talks at the AHC this week

Join us for two interesting and informative talks this week (Thursday, 11/18 6-8pm). Free and open to the public.

What happens when the natural world meets the man-made?

Architecture is often viewed as an intrusion; the "built" world cannot exist without changing and re-shaping the natural one. But this process need not be destructive.

How does architecture complement the natural world?

Like nature, architecture adapts. The "built" world can dominate the natural one, but it can also become a part of it. When the two successfully coexist, the beauty of both can emerge.

What happens when the two worlds merge?
