Purpose of Position: The Program Assistant supports the money management program and provids medical advocacy for Members, who are low-income, disabled, and often dual-diagnosed. The program provides a community of care and accountability as well as long-term support in money management and case management.

Essential Functions: 1. Meets with Members one-on-one to issue daily spending money and track spending.

2. Coordinates Member’s medical appointments.

3. Assists Members with their medications, including record-keeping.

Plant trees with SOLV on Saturday Oct 4

Plant Trees and help restore watersheds at SOLV’s Team Up For Watershed Health sites on Saturday October 4th. We have tree plantings taking place at Rinearson Creek in Gladstone, Carter Creek in Lake Oswego, Fields Creek in West Linn, and Tryon Creek in SW Portland. All of our plantings are along sensitive, high priority ecological areas along stream banks in the Portland area that were recently overwhelmed by invasive plants. By planting native trees and shrubs in these areas volunteers will be creating habitat for future generations of birds, small mammals, and fish. Plantings start at 9 am and end by 12 pm.

Portland Impact's Parent Child Development Services (PCDS) Program is looking for volunteers to help with childcare while the parents are involved in a scrapbooking class. The PCDS program provides a safe, developmentally appropriate learning environment for over 250 infants and preschoolers. Our interactive playgroups help at-risk children build social and early literacy skills and develop school readiness.

Enhance your neighborhood with the Intel-SOLV Clean and Green Project

Join SOLV and roughly 2,000 volunteers at over 50 project sites in Washington County and East Multnomah County on Saturday, October 11th from 9 am to 1 pm. Volunteers will plant thousands of native plants and bulbs, remove litter and graffiti, enhance school grounds, and work to restore wetlands and streams in an effort to restore and enhance their communities.

Youth GED Tutors Wanted

SE Works is looking for volunteer tutors for our Youth GED Program. Our GED program serves students who haven't succeeded in a traditional school environment by offering non-traditional curriculum, small classes and individual attention. One-on-one and small group tutoring is a critical part of our program. Volunteer tutors work with students on the subjects of the GED: math, science, social studies, reading and writing. The tutoring sessions give students an opportunity to strengthen their academic skills in the areas that are most challenging for them.
