Mandala Creation Workshops

This ongoing monthly workshop meets the second Thursday of every month and focuses on bringing together the power of meditation and sacred art. In a peaceful, egoless, spiritually creative atmosphere we will release the inner artist within everyone. We will delve into creating beautiful, luminous mandalas on paper. Participants come away with basic sacred art tools to help;

- Heal the mind, body, and spirit; - Increase your individual sense of balance and wholeness; - Enhanced use of both sides of your brain; - Respond to life situations rather than react; - Continue and deepen personal growth.

Volunteering

Volunteer to teach Salmon Watch this fall!

Help teach Oregon’s youth about salmon and watersheds with The Freshwater Trust's Salmon Watch program, an award-winning education program that centers on streamside field trips to view spawning salmon.

You don’t need to be an expert in water education, but simply have a desire to learn and a passion for teaching and getting outside!

Adult volunteers attend a free half-day training workshop in August or September to learn more about water quality, aquatic insects, riparian zones and working with kids.

Then, in the fall, they’ll become “o-fish-ial” volunteer instructors, giving them the chance to share their knowledge with middle and high school students on a weekday field trip.
