Summary: Position teaches a range of academic and enrichment SUN School classes to students in grades 1-8th, Monday-Thursday, 2:15-5:15pm. Topics of classes during the winter SUN School term include drama, book club, and homework club for middle school students and math/science for younger students. StreamTeam Program Administrative Assistant

StreamTeam Program Assistant Position Opening (Professional Placement—AmeriCorps)

The StreamTeam began in 1992 and has grown to a regionally recognized voluntary environmental restoration effort of Clark Public Utilities. Since the program’s inception, volunteers from a variety of backgrounds have planted over 600,000 native trees to improve salmon habitat. The StreamTeam interacts with approximately 20,000 people each year through outreach and educational opportunities in the community.

Volunteering

Lend a hand at Schoolhouse Supplies!

Help support local classrooms! Volunteers are encouraged to join us for all or part of two upcoming open volunteer shifts:

Tuesday 12/22, 2-5pm Tuesday 12/29, 2-5pm

Schoolhouse Supplies at Madison High School 2735 NE 82nd Ave, Portland OR 97220

In order to prepare for the New Year, we’ll be doing an overhaul of our warehouse space - projects will include sorting, packaging, organizing, and moving supplies. Tasks are appropriate for adults and mature youth age 12 and older; volunteers age 12-16 are required to have an adult volunteer with them. Please wear closed toed shoes and clothing that you don’t mind getting a little dusty. Some lifting will be required, although there may be a limited number of low-impact tasks available.
