This Sunday Mar Goman, the current artist-in-residence at SCRAP, will be giving a talk on her current gallery show as well as a workshop on object wrapping, Xerox transfers and collaging. This is a great opportunity to learn from a professional artist and to find out more about her installation, "Lucy", currently exhibiting at Re:Vision Gallery.

The word "humanure" inevitably raises many questions: Is it feasible? Is it safe? Is it legal? What is everybody making such a big stink about?

Join us for a presentation and discussion on composting toilets and humanure. We will cover all the pressing questions that would-be humanure enthusiasts may have. Topics include: the environmental benefits, toilet construction, humanure harvest and maintenance, the legality of the whole thing, and more! Participants will leave with a better understanding of the composting toilet controversy and resources for getting involved in the movement.

The SUN Summer Instructor manages student behavior in a way consistent with SUN School expectations.

Volunteering

Do you like to boss people around?

Are you good at managing volunteers? Whether you're a pro at directing volunteers, or are a detail-oriented person who enjoys big events, your skills are needed!

Hands On will be hosting a volunteer experience for 2,000 Intel volunteers and their families at OMSI on Friday, May 28th from 5:30 -10pm. We need your help to make this a success!

Projects will include Love Letters for Kids, creating recipe books for families in need and collecting/cleaning books for the Children's Book Bank. You can help ensure that each project is a success by signing up as a "Crowd Manager" for this event.

Looking for a great way to spend your Saturday morning? This Saturday, May 22nd from 10am-noon, Alder Elementary Schools Uniting Neighborhoods (SUN) program is hosting a work party to do maintenance on their school garden. The Alder garden is a vibrant edible garden used for after-school garden club and summer camp.
