  The New Seasons Sellwood Market is hosting a Benefit BBQ for JCWC on June 5th and 6th!  They are donating 100% of the proceeds to the Council!    Purchase a complete meal (includes one beef or veggie burger, cole slaw or a piece of local fruit, and a drink) for just $6 and help support JCWC!   Please note: this is only at the Sellwood location! Americorps LINKS position at SCRAP

SCRAP, the Creative Reuse Center in NE Portland, seeks an Americorps LINKS Project Coordinator to create a Reused Artisan Corner.

The Reused Artisan Corner will be a retail boutique within SCRAP that sells handcrafted items from volunteers and members that contain 75% reused materials.This exciting project will include planning and development, solicitation and selection of artisan crafts and head up a public relations launch of the program. The Project Coordinator will also recruit, train and supervise volunteers to manage the Reused Artisan Corner.

Prepare and provide audit schedules, and draft GAAP financial statements and footnotes for the Chief Financial Officer to review. • Assist the Chief Financial Officer with preparations for the Foundation’s Forms 990 and 990T filings. • Provide timely information to assist in the preparation of the Annual Report including but not limited to lists of gifts, grants, funds and donors. • Maintain accounting records in accordance with the Foundation’s document retention policy.

Come join the dynamic staff at SOLV through the AmeriCorps Individual Placement program! SOLV is a non-profit organization based in Hillsboro that "brings Oregonians together to improve the environment and build a legacy of stewardship". The Community Outreach Specialist will lead several new initiatives around urban watershed restoration and volunteer engagement as part of the Team Up for Watershed Health program. Team Up engages community volunteers throughout the Portland metro area in priority stream and wetland restoration projects. This is an 11-month position through Northwest Service Academy.

The award-winning Oregon Military Museum is closed temporarily as it transitions to the 1954 Clackamas Armory Building at the Oregon National Guard's Camp Withycombe. The Oregon Military Museum has successfully relocated its assets from four buildings to the Armory, however it is seeking funding to complete necessary remodeling before unpacking and re-opening to the public.

The Americans Overseas Domestic Violence Crisis Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping Americans overseas make informed decisions about the abuse in their lives and in the lives of their children through intervention and education. AODVC provides hope to these survivors and offers extensive support services and programs necessary for them to establish violence-free and economically feasible lives when they make the decision to return to the United States with their children.

The Southeast Portland Tool Library(SEPTL) lends home and garden tools to residents of SE Portland for FREE!

SEPTL has an amazing opportunity to earn money through BES’ downspout disconnection program! We need volunteers willing to donate 3 hours of time to help disconnect downspouts in SE Portland. It’s easy work and you'll receive training. With each downspout that gets disconnected, we’ll earn $26! Not only that, but you get free pizza at the end of the shift! ALL the money will go towards buying tools from SEPTL's wish list.
