Join us at the next Meetup of the Socially Responsible Business Group! Robyn Shanti of the Sustainable Business Network of Portland will be talking about the organization and its programs, including the Local First campaign. Come meet, network, and chat with fellow socially responsible business owners/managers/friends. Nonprofits are welcome!

Tibet film and music August 8th

Please join The Crag Law Center and The Tara Cafe Project on August 8 as we celebrate Tibetan culture with the Portland premiere of The Unwinking Gaze!

This 2008 documentary by Joshua Dugdale provides a behind-the-scenes insight to the Dalai Lama's struggle to lead his people to a peaceful resolution with China.  Following the film, The Tara Cafe Project will give an inspiring performance of traditional Tibetan music.  The Tara Cafe Project works to preserve traditional Tibetan culture and promote cultural continuity of Tibetan music.   

Date: Friday, August 8.

Location: Clinton Street Theater, 2522 SE Clinton Street in Portland.

Job Description: Oregon State Field Coordinator

Location: Portland, Oregon (some statewide travel required)

 

Position Description

The State Field Coordinator will primarily serve as a consultant to America Votes and as such is responsible for maintaining relationships within the America Votes coalition, including Labor, environmental groups, pro-choice advocates, education advocates, civil rights organizations and more. Responsibilities include working with these organizations to develop and implement their voter contact and field plans and working with elected officials to improve voting access for state voters.

Teach clients to overcome typical rental screening barriers with Ready To Rent!

The next Instructor Certification Training will be held September 23-24, 9:00am-4:00pm, and September 25, 9:00am-1:00pm.

Training will be located at the Portland Housing Center, 3233 NE Sandy Blvd.

Registration fee: $350 for agencies located in Multnomah, Clackamas, Washington, and Clark counties. Fee includes all training materials and continental breakfast. Those located outside the Portland area please call the Ready to Rent national office at 503-891-0476 for fee information.

Space is limited to first 25 people.
