Junk to Funk hosting summer "Trashion Camp"

This summer the Junk to Funk Trashion Collective (producer's of The Junk to Funk Recycled Fashion Show Contest) is hosting its first summer camp in partnership with SCRAP. Campers will embark on a week trashion excursion where they will create usable fashion accessories created from junk materials.  Additionally throughout the week we will be creating trashion garments that will be displayed in a culminating friends and family fashion show at the end of the week.  

Dates: Monday 8.9 through Friday 8.13

Time: Daily 9-4

Ages: 12-18

Cost: $250

Be a part of the Starlight Parade with SOLV and PGE!

Our reputation for a livable city is magnified by our commitment to keeping it clean, and the part we play in the PGE/SOLV Starlight Parade clean up is key. Help keep the Portland Rose Festival the "Cleanest Parade in the World." Please consider volunteering to collect filled SOLV trash bags. Check in at 9:30 p.m. at the green PGE tent at NW Park Ave. at W Burnside in Portland to pick to collect the filled bags, which is a really amazing experience, and help keep our Rose Festival, and our beautiful city clean!

Impact Northwest is seeking a Volunteer Program Assistant for our Money Management Program, which helps low-income seniors and people with disabilities maintain financial stability through one-on-one service provided by trained volunteer.

The MM Program Assistant will assist the Program Coordinator with processes surrounding client referral, intake, maintenance, and termination.
