The National Network supports colleges implementing Gateway to College, which is a college-based, high school completion program for disengaged youth, and a new program called Project DEgree, which supports college students taking developmental education courses. Description: Cascade AIDS Project (CAP) is the oldest and largest provider of HIV prevention, education, housing, advocacy and support services in Oregon and Southwest Washington. Mortgage Default Intake Orientations

The Community Housing Resource Center will be holding free Mortgage Default Orientations on Tuesday, June 29th, and Thursday, July 1st, from 5-6PM at the Center. This workshop is the required first step in learning how to work with your lender and how the Center can assist you in resolving your mortgage issue. You do not need to be in default to get help. No reservations are required. For information, contact 360-690-4496 X105. The Community Housing Resource Center is a HUD certified, non-profit counseling/education center.

Volunteers Needed!

Open Meadow is looking for volunteer support for a 5k run, with stops at multiple venues, put on by the owners of several local North/NE Portland pubs/eateries on Saturday, July 10.

 

We need 5-7 volunteers to serve at the various venues and 2-3 volunteers to ride on bikes along the run route with first aid supplies (first aid training not necessary, but a bike, helmet, and a cell phone are).

 

All volunteers receive a free t-shirt and are invited to the after-event party at Amnesia Brewery (corner of N. Mississippi & N. Beech).

 

Please contact Amy at 503.488.5184 ASAP if you are interested and able to help out. Volunteers must be 21+. Event starts at 8 AM and will be over before noon.

Howdy folks!

 

It’s time to don your cowboy hat and lend a hand at the 8th annual Barn Bash on July 31st. This “Party with a Purpose” is an important fundraiser for Boys & Girls Aid and it’s only possible with help from amazing volunteers—that means you!

 

This event takes place on a farm in West Linn, about 20 minutes from downtown Portland. We need volunteers to help out at registration, sell raffle tickets, track sales, etc.
